Following his £34 million transfer from Bayern Munich, Ryan Gravenberch has already made Diogo Jota, a teammate at Liverpool, “great” in training.
Ryan Gravenberch was inspected by Liverpool player Diogo Jota after seeing him at the AXA Training Center.

On deadline day, Gravenberch signed with Liverpool.

Probably make debut versus Wolves

WHAT OCCURED? Although Liverpool supporters had to wait until after the September international break to watch the young player play, Gravenberch was eventually signed on transfer deadline day. Gravenberch has been preparing to join the team when the Premier League resumes at the AXA Training Center. Jota, one of his brand-new teammates, has now witnessed the Dutchman working out and is really impressed.

WHAT THEY SAID: In response to a question about Gravenberch’s integration, Jota informed the club’s media: “I believe terrific. The Dutch players are obviously two of his closest buddies, and since they are older now—three—they can support one another.

“Obviously, I haven’t been in and have only had a few sessions with him, but you can immediately see the quality he brings and the ability he has to think quickly. He will likely be a further asset going forward, in my opinion.

THE BIGGER PICTURE: The Wolves game will be the first one where Jurgen Klopp’s ultimate vision for his midfield might be seen after a turbulent summer that saw a revolving door with many senior players leaving and new ones taking their places. Dominik Szoboszlai has been the best player in these first four games. It won’t be surprising if Gravenberch takes longer to adjust because he didn’t train with the club over the summer.
