Declan Rice was one of Arsenal’s most notable summer acquisitions, however in the transfer market, players like Nicolas Pepe and Kieran Tierney failed to draw competitive offers due to a lack of funds recovered.

The Gunners sought to add players with versatility so that Mikel Arteta would have more alternatives than he did during the previous campaign. They took a look at how things ended the previous year and decided they needed to make some changes. Although last year was fantastic, they were very predictable.

They hired Jurrien Timber, a versatile defender who can play at center, left, or right back. They didn’t begin the window with Kai Havertz in mind, but when the chance presented itself, they considered the position they wanted to reinforce and decided he could fill it. He could also play as a central striker and out wide, in addition to that position.

The main target of high priority was Declan Rice. Since the beginning of the year, Arsenal has been working very hard to get him in because they wanted to find someone who could take over for Thomas Partey while also moving on from him. He could also play the number six position, cover defensively, and possibly fill in for Granit Xhaka.

The summer plans were so dependent on Timber, and they didn’t replace him. They are less strong than they were last year because they lost the guy they brought in to make them more powerful, as well as Kieran Tierney and Rob Holding, who played more than 50 games last year combined across all competitions.

With the exception of the defense, they are healthy. There are many excellent possibilities for midfield. They are in a really good position going forward. They have wide players who are prolific goal scorers. And take a look at what has occurred in the first games off the bench thus far.

Mikel made the substitutions and brought on Fabio Vieira and Eddie Nketiah against Fulham. In that contest, Vieira assisted on both of Nketiah’s goals. He started Reiss Nelson, [Gabriel] Jesus, and Vieira against Manchester United. The third goal was a combination of those first three.

For Arsenal, they are not referred to as substitutes; rather, they are impactors who have a game-changing impact. That is as a result of Arsenal’s current strength in depth.
