If Real Madrid is unable to sign Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, they “will consider Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez as a backup option.”

Alvarez is one of the players that Real are considering in the event that they are unable to get Mbappe, according to Fichajes.

If Kylian Mbappe is not available to sign for Real Madrid next summer, Julian Alvarez of Manchester City has been mentioned as a possible fallback option.

Since his contract with Paris Saint-Germain is up in the summer of 2019, it is expected that Mbappe will eventually join Real after years of being strongly linked with the Spanish club.

If Real Madrid is unable to sign Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, they “will consider Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez as a backup option.”

After transferring from River Plate, Alvarez is now in his second season with City.

The 23-year-old scored twice so far this season after scoring 17 goals in all competitions last year.

With more than 20 appearances for Argentina, Alvarez last year assisted his nation in winning the World Cup in Qatar.

Even though City’s first-choice attacker is the prolific Erling Haaland, Alvarez has shown that he is capable of producing well while positioned behind the Norwegian.

Alvarez’s commitment to City extends through the summer of 2028.

Alvarez is highly regarded by city manager Pep Guardiola, who would probably be reluctant to let him go.

Real will probably try to sign a well-known striker in the next summer, especially after losing Karim Benzema to Al-Ittihad this season.
