He hasn’t participated in a team practice yet, says Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp. An update on Trent Alexander-Arnold’s hamstring issue
Trent Alexander-Arnold is still out of commission for Liverpool, according to Jurgen Klopp, who also disclosed that the full-back’s hamstring problem is keeping him out of play.

WHAT OCCURED?

Late in a 3-0 victory over Aston Villa, the England-capped defender suffered an unfortunate injury. As a result, he was unable to go with the Three Lions, and he has yet to resume club training.

WHO SAID WHAT
When asked for an update on Alexander-Arnold’s fitness, Reds manager Klopp told reporters: “[There is] no concern. We already knew he wasn’t available. He is yet to train with the team and will need some time. Although it’s not the worst hamstring injury you could have, they hardly ever recover in two weeks, and this one didn’t either. We think he can begin ball work early next week since he is already running, and then we will see what happens.

On Friday, Klopp provided additional encouraging information regarding the recuperations of Darwin Nunez, Thiago Alcantara, and Ibrahima Konate. On Saturday, Liverpool will play Wolves at Molineux. “Thiago is running, but that’s it,” he continued. Ibou worked out with the group for two days. [Nunez] Although I hadn’t yet met him, we had spoken and he had assured me everything was good. However, we will now assess the situation and make some decisions. Darwin ought to be alright. Given that [Jarell Quansah] trained with us for the entire week, there was definitely ample opportunity for relaxation. Even if he only played for a short time with the [Spain] U21s, Stefan [Bajcetic] had a good camp. That, I believe, is it.

WHAT ARRIVES SECOND?
With 10 points gained from its first four games of the 2023–24 season, Liverpool has had an undefeated start. The Reds will begin their campaign for Europa League supremacy next Thursday when they travel to Austria to face LASK after visiting Wolves.
