A native of Bainbridge, Georgia, Sonny Smart dedicated over 30 years of his life to coaching and education, shaping the lives of countless young athletes. Known for his passion for the game and commitment to his players, he served as an inspiration to his son Kirby, who has credited his father as a pivotal figure in his life and career.
Sonny Smart’s legacy is deeply intertwined with Georgia football. His unwavering support for Kirby was evident throughout Kirby’s rise to prominence, culminating in back-to-back national championships with the Bulldogs in 2021 and 2022.
